Geospatial MCP Server

Spatial analysis you can ask for in plain language

An MCP server that lets Claude run our spatial analyses for real. Ask how accessible a neighbourhood is, and it runs the OGC process and cites the data behind the answer.

Everything above runs on a dedicated Linux server I set up and look after: containers deployed with Coolify behind Traefik, single sign-on, object storage, monitoring and automated backups.

OGC API & Data Layer

One standard interface behind every tool

A pygeoapi OGC API over PostGIS and GeoParquet that serves features, vector tiles and analysis processes. Each process says which datasets and which method version it used, so every output traces back to its source.

OpenRitardi

Italian train delays, now with night trains

A map of Italian train delays by station and by train, which I revived in 2026 with data for 2024, 2025 and 2026 so far. Its new night-train page tracks every Intercity Notte between the north and Sicily or Calabria, curated with Back-on-Track Italia, and it’s our next big project there.

Open Night Train Database

All the night trains in Europe in one database, kept up to date by Back-on-Track volunteers. Since October 2026 it’s proper open data: ODbL, a citable DOI and a STAC catalog you can query straight from your code.

Night Train Target Network

An open tool where anyone can draw the night train they wish existed and get an estimate of its cost and CO₂ savings. People have proposed more than 1,800 routes so far.

CO₂ Commuting Calculator

MSc thesis · transport emissions accounting

My MSc thesis tool for Dutch employers’ commuting-emissions reporting (WPM). Comparing the accounting methods side by side showed a 38.7% gap between tank-to-wheel and well-to-wheel.

Aviation Impact Analysis

I processed 1.4 TB of ADS-B flight data from the OpenSky Network to map Schiphol traffic and noise exposure over Amsterdam Noord, for a neighbourhood worried about the planes overhead.
